Jerusalem District Electricity Company Completes Lighting Project for the Path of the Biddu Tunnel and Neighboring Villages
SadaNews - As part of its national and community commitment, and in response to calls from local authorities and municipalities in the region, the Jerusalem District Electricity Company announced the completion of the lighting project for the path of the Biddu tunnel and neighboring villages, fully funded and directly supervised by the company.
This vital project aims to enhance public safety on the road, facilitate the movement of citizens, and reduce the risks that users of this vital road have faced for years due to the absence of lighting.
Installation and operation work for the lighting network is scheduled to begin on Sunday, September 28, 2025, and will continue for three days, during which the company will take all necessary arrangements to ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of road users during the implementation period.
The company urged drivers and all road users to exercise caution while passing through the tunnel area during the work period, to ensure their safety and the safety of the field crews working on-site.
