SadaNews - The Jerusalem District Electricity Company clarified to citizens that the power outages currently being experienced are part of an annual plan aimed at maintaining networks and equipment in preparation for winter and ensuring the continuity of service with high quality, given the expected increase in electricity consumption during the cold season.

The company confirmed that these outages are announced in advance to citizens through official bulletins and are coordinated with the company's central departments to secure the necessary machinery and equipment, such as lifts, cranes, and washing tools, in addition to the quantity and supplies necessary for maintaining transformers, high-voltage lines, insulators, and cables.

Maintenance teams typically work between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and their tasks include trimming tall trees.

The Jerusalem Electricity Company emphasized that these measures come within its ongoing commitment to improving service and ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of electricity to citizens, confirming that it will continue to issue advance notices to inform the public about the times and locations of necessary maintenance outages.
