Decrease in Building Cost Index by 0.29% in the West Bank
SadaNews - Decrease in the Building Cost Index for Residential Buildings
The cost of building residential buildings in the West Bank recorded a decrease of 0.29% during July 2025 compared to June 2025; the index for building costs for residential buildings decreased to 120.89 compared to 121.24 in the previous month (base year 2013=100).
In terms of major groups, rental equipment prices decreased by 0.56%, and prices for raw materials and basic supplies decreased by 0.47%, while labor costs and wages remained stable during July 2025 compared to the previous month.
Decrease in the Building Cost Index for Non-Residential Buildings
The cost of building non-residential buildings in the West Bank recorded a decrease of 0.31% during July 2025 compared to June 2025; the index for building costs for non-residential buildings decreased to 119.72 compared to 120.10 in the previous month (base year 2013=100).
In terms of major groups, rental equipment prices decreased by 0.58%, and prices for raw materials and basic supplies decreased by 0.50%, while labor costs and wages remained stable during July 2025 compared to the previous month.
Decrease in the Building Cost Index for Frame Buildings
The cost of building frame buildings in the West Bank recorded a decrease of 51.0% during July 2025 compared to June 2025; the index for building costs for frame buildings decreased to 118.08 compared to 118.69 in the previous month (base year 2013=100).
In terms of major groups, prices for raw materials and basic supplies decreased by 0.79%, and rental equipment prices decreased by 0.56%, while labor costs and wages remained stable during July 2025 compared to the previous month.
Decrease in the Cost Index for Various Types of Road Construction
The cost of road construction in the West Bank recorded a decrease of 0.17% during July 2025 compared to June 2025; the overall index for road construction costs decreased to 114.59 compared to 114.79 in the previous month (base month December 2008=100).
In terms of major groups, rental equipment prices decreased by 0.27%, and prices for raw materials and basic supplies decreased by 0.24%, while equipment operating and maintenance costs increased by 1.75%, and labor costs and wages remained stable during July 2025 compared to the previous month.
Decrease in the General Index for Water Network Construction Costs
The costs for constructing water networks in the West Bank recorded a decrease of 1.32% during July 2025 compared to June 2025; the index for water network construction costs decreased to 130.26 compared to 132.00 in the previous month (base month January 2010=100).
In terms of water network prices, the index recorded a decrease of 1.44%, falling to 136.90 compared to 138.90 in the previous month. The prices for water tanks also decreased by 1.00%, with the index dropping to 115.64 compared to 116.81 in the previous month.
Decrease in the General Index for Sewage Network Construction Costs
The costs for constructing sewage networks in the West Bank recorded a decrease of 0.22% during July 2025 compared to June 2025; the index decreased to 118.18 compared to 118.44 in the previous month (base month January 2010=100).
