"Banks Association" Publishes Issue 98 of "Banks in Palestine" Magazine
SadaNews - The Banks Association in Palestine has issued the eighty-eighth issue of the "Banks in Palestine" magazine, which focuses on shedding light on the most prominent economic and banking issues in Palestine and the region. This issue includes a distinguished collection of interviews and specialized articles that reflect the challenges and opportunities in the current economic landscape.
The issue includes an in-depth interview with the Minister of National Economy, Mr. Mohammad Al-Amour, who discussed the economic implications of the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip and the escalating aggression in the West Bank, particularly its impact on economic establishments that have witnessed a decline in revenues and a contraction at the macroeconomic level.
During the interview, the minister emphasized the pivotal role played by the banking sector as a safety valve for the national economy, stressing that the strength of this sector is a fundamental pillar for supporting the private sector and enhancing its resilience, while also addressing the reasons behind the problem of the shekel's accumulation and what is required from various institutions to address it.
The issue also contains an interview with the Union of Arab Banks, which touched upon the development of the Palestinian banking sector over the past decades, despite complex political and economic challenges. The union praised the ability of Palestinian banks to maintain a certain level of financial stability in an unstable environment.
In the "All People" section, the issue reviews citizens' opinions on the challenges related to the use of electronic payment services, in terms of their availability and ease of access, reflecting the magazine's interest in capturing user experiences and feedback.
The issue includes a set of specialized articles that address modern and important issues, including: "The trading of telecommunications company balances by Islamic banks through covered tawarruq Islamic credit cards," an article on "Psychological contracts in labor relations," and an article on "The impact of payment digitization on managing the shekel surplus crisis."
It is noteworthy that the "Banks in Palestine" magazine, which has been published quarterly since 1995, is one of the specialized media platforms in the financial and economic affairs, aiming to provide readers – researchers, specialists, and interested parties – with reliable content and in-depth analyses that contribute to raising banking and economic awareness in Palestine.
