Return to Beijing… The Palestinian Response to Trump's Deception

Trump's recent plan was just a new facade for old policies that have burdened the Palestinian cause with flowery phrases about "reconstruction" and "prosperity". This plan clearly conceals a project to prevent the establishment of a real Palestinian state and to polish Israel's image before the world after it has been stained by crimes of war and genocide. It is neither a peace initiative nor a declaration of principles; rather, it is a plan to freeze the conflict and impose the reality of occupation while Palestinians are asked to wait for endless delayed promises, which superficially speak of development but fundamentally seek to convert the homeland into a "quiet zone" without sovereignty or identity. Granting it three to five years only means giving the occupation the chance to annex the West Bank and empty Gaza of its residents, distorting the image of resistance under deceptive humanitarian titles.

However, Palestine is not a file for political beautification, nor can its people be reduced to temporary reconstruction projects. The response to the repeated American deception and the selling of illusions through initiatives like Trump's plan cannot be through rhetorical rejection but rather through national action that rearranges the Palestinian ranks based on unity, not competition. What we clearly propose is a return to the Beijing Declaration as the fast and only road toward a unified Palestinian position. When the Palestinian factions signed the Beijing Declaration on July 23, 2024, the agreement was not merely a diplomatic courtesy but a promise before the people and history to end the division and build Palestinian decision-making on participation, not exclusion. Fourteen factions agreed on a unified national program formulated in a purely Palestinian spirit with the sponsorship of a state that favors justice over interests, away from American intervention. China, which sponsored this agreement, did not present itself as a substitute for anyone but as a partner in achieving justice according to United Nations resolutions, steadfast in its position that the establishment of the Palestinian state is a right, not a favor, and that peace is not built on force but on fairness.

Today, as we are faced with a new plan attempting to mislead the world, Beijing remains the natural platform to revive that promise and activate the existing agreement. What is required is not a new agreement but the will to implement what has been agreed upon. The return to Beijing is not a trip abroad but a return to the unified Palestinian self and the realization that internal division is the dearest gift that can be offered to the occupation. The unity of position and clarity of Palestinian decision and action are stronger than all conspiracies. What Palestine needs at this moment is not more conferences or statements but an urgent date for a second Beijing summit where dialogue is opened and the practical implementation of the unity agreement begins. A national unity government must be formed to restore trust among the people, and the Palestine Liberation Organization must be resurrected with all its factions without exception or exclusion. International legal action against war criminals, including Netanyahu and his gang, Trump, and Meloni, should be resumed as participants in genocide. No file should be closed under pressure or political bargaining, and it must be stated clearly: those who want real peace must first recognize the State of Palestine and our full right to self-determination, not grant us time to accept defeat quietly.

Around us, the maps of power are changing, and the features of a new world order are forming. At the heart of this transformation, China stands alongside the Palestinian right, as circles of solidarity with Palestine widen in American universities, European parliaments, and global streets. International recognition of the State of Palestine is being received in a scene not witnessed in decades. The whole world has witnessed the injustice, genocide, and starvation war in Gaza while the American deception plan seeks to erase this reality and grant Israel time to contain international support for Palestine and against the unprecedented Israeli crime. Dealing with this plan with hesitation or silence squanders this historic moment. National unity based on the Beijing Declaration means capitalizing on global momentum and transforming it into real political pressure, ensuring that Palestine speaks with one voice that the world hears clearly and which neither Washington nor any other power can erase.

Since Trump's plan is based on deception and maneuvering, the response to it should not be emotional but rather a confident strategy starting from the Beijing Declaration and from land that has not been tarnished by American imperialism or Zionist "Trump-like" ideas. Let the decision be collective and the date soon, and the dialogue serious to implement what was agreed upon in the Beijing Declaration 2024. For unity is not a slogan but a condition for the existence of the Palestinian national identity, and from Beijing 2 the path of restoration begins, and from unity, the fall of deception begins.
