The President Arrives in Qatar, Meets with Emir Tamim, and Offers Condolences for the Death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani
SadaNews - The President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, arrived today, Wednesday, in the Qatari capital Doha, where he met with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and offered his condolences for the death of the father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
Upon his arrival at Lusail Palace, the president was received by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, while at Hamad International Airport, he was welcomed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence, Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Qatar, Faiz Abu Rubb.
The president is accompanied by an official delegation that includes: the Vice President, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Hussein al-Sheikh, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Ziad Abu Amr, a member of the Fatah Central Committee Yasser Abbas, and the president's diplomatic advisor Magdi Khalidi.
The president and the accompanying delegation went directly to Lusail Palace to offer their condolences to the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the ruling family, for the death of the father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
