Bloomberg: Limited Movement of Ships in the Strait of Hormuz After Resumption of Naval Blockade
SadaNews: Bloomberg reported, citing ship tracking data, that a limited number of ships transited the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, hours after the United States resumed its naval blockade on Iran and attacks on vessels in the region escalated.
The agency noted that a giant oil tanker carrying Iranian oil and subject to U.S. sanctions sailed toward the Gulf of Oman before stopping shortly after exiting the strait.
It added that an oil tanker owned by a Greek company carrying a shipment of Saudi crude resumed sending tracking signals, heading towards the port of Fujairah outside the Arabian Gulf, after its last reported location within the Gulf was three days ago.
According to tracking data, two small fuel tankers and two cargo vessels also crossed the strait in both directions.
