Occupation Transforms Popular Committee Building in Qalandia into Interrogation Center Amidraids and Arrests in the West Bank

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces, this morning, Wednesday, transformed the Popular Committee building in Qalandia camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, into an interrogation center, after smashing the doors of the institutions located within it, including the Office of the Governor of Jerusalem.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation forces detained dozens of citizens inside the building and subjected them to hours of interrogation before releasing them later, coinciding with raids on citizens' homes and heavy live ammunition and tear gas fire.

In Bethlehem, occupation forces raided the Dheisheh camp and detained 25 citizens inside the Al-Finique hall, where they were interrogated on the ground before being released.

The city of Qalqilya and the town of Habla, south of it, also witnessed a campaign of arrests, as occupation forces arrested two young men, Wael Harb Dawood and Addi Bassam Mardawi, after raiding and searching their homes, leaving destruction in the contents of the houses.

In Nablus, settlers slashed the tires of vehicles in the town of Beit Dajan, while occupation forces arrested citizens from the towns of Beita and Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, Farouk Majdi Hamayel and Muhammad Suleiman Awais, following raids on their homes.

These incursions and arrests come in the context of a continuing escalation witnessed in the cities and towns of the West Bank, amid increasing assaults by settlers on citizens' properties.
