Trump: We Will Expand Strikes on Iran If No Agreement Is Reached
SadaNews - U.S. President Donald Trump told "Fox News" that he will expand American strikes on Iran next week to include power stations and bridges if Tehran does not reach an agreement.
In an interview with "Fox News", Trump stated: "Next week will be very bad for them because power stations will be targeted next week. Bridges will be targeted next week," according to "AFP".
He added: "We will destroy all their power stations. We will destroy all their bridges unless they come back to the negotiating table.".
According to Trump, the United States had talks with Iran on Tuesday, adding, "America urged Iran to reach an agreement.".
The American president continued: "Iran still has some ability to fight, but it is not significant.".
Trump concluded his remarks by saying: "Strikes on Iran will continue until I decide that it's enough.".
Trump's statements came as U.S. forces launched strikes on Iran for the fourth consecutive day and reinstated a maritime blockade on the country's ports.
The U.S. military announced on Tuesday that it had resumed the comprehensive maritime blockade on ships transiting from and to Iranian ports and coastal areas.
The U.S. military stated in a statement: "We resumed the maritime blockade on ships transiting from and to Iranian ports and coastal areas today at 4 PM Eastern Time.".
The statement clarified that: "More than 20 warships from the Navy and hundreds of military aircraft are active across the Middle East.".
