5-Year Prison Sentence for Israeli Soldier Convicted of Contacting Iran
SadaNews - On Wednesday, the Israeli occupation army announced that a five-year prison sentence has been issued against a soldier for sending videos showing missile interceptions to an Iranian agent.
The army clarified that the soldier sent two videos containing this type of footage in June 2025, during the 12-day war between Israel and Iran, and that he received a financial sum for one of them.
The army's statement indicated that the soldier provided the Iranian agent with other videos filmed in civilian locations.
In recent months, Israeli security agencies announced the arrest of several Israelis on charges of espionage for Tehran, including gathering information about sensitive facilities, military bases, and public figures, in exchange for financial sums.
Israel accuses Iran of intensifying attempts to recruit Israelis through social media and messaging applications since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, stating that these attempts have escalated during the direct military confrontation between the two sides.
