Omani Foreign Minister: Long-term Arrangements to Ensure Freedom of Navigation in Hormuz
SadaNews - Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi stated that complex discussions are currently underway to formulate a long-term arrangement that guarantees freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that the Sultanate bears the responsibility to work with Iran and the international community to reach a formula that ensures the security of this vital passage.
Al-Busaidi added that the most dangerous threats to Gulf security do not come from within it, but rather from external decisions and actions, particularly in Tel Aviv, stressing the need to recalibrate the relationship with the United States to be more consistent with the strategic reality revealed by the war.
The minister described the current war as a catastrophe without a UN mandate, affirming that it has not achieved any of its objectives but rather exacerbated the risks to regional security and international navigation.
