US Army Reveals Start Date for Blockade on Iranian Ports
SadaNews - The US Army announced on Monday evening details regarding the maritime blockade it intends to impose on Iranian ports amid the escalation of military tensions between the two parties.
The Joint Maritime Information Center, led by the US Navy, stated that the US Army will begin enforcing the blockade on all ports of Iran and the Iranian coastal areas at exactly 8 PM on Tuesday, Greenwich Mean Time.
The center mentioned that "the blockade includes the entire Iranian coast, including but not limited to Iranian ports and oil facilities."
It emphasized that the US blockade "applies to the movement of ships entirely (to and from Iranian ports), regardless of the flag flown on the ships."
The center explained that "the blockade will not impede the passage of neutral ships through the Strait of Hormuz, to and from non-Iranian destinations."
It also reported that "humanitarian aid shipments will be allowed to pass, provided they are subjected to inspection."
