The main reason was the decline in the prices of these commodities in the Gaza Strip.

Prices of the following commodities in the West Bank averaged; eggs 13 shekels/2 kg carton, chicken 14 shekels/kg, large tomatoes 4 shekels/kg, plastic greenhouse cucumbers 3 shekels/kg, okra 19 shekels/kg, diesel 7.43 shekels/liter, bananas 6 shekels/kg, pomegranates 14 shekels/kg, dry onions and potatoes 3 shekels/kg each, gas cylinder 87 shekels/12 kg cylinder, and gasoline "95" 7.70 shekels/liter.
Decrease in the Cost of Living Index in Jerusalem J1:
The Consumer Price Index in Jerusalem J1 recorded a decrease of 0.53% during June 2026 compared to May 2026, due to the decrease in fresh vegetable prices by 9.26%, fresh fruit prices by 5.31%, dried vegetable prices by 5.52%, liquid fuel used for cars "diesel" by 3.16%, and "gasoline" by 3.04%.
Prices of the following commodities in Jerusalem J1 recorded decreases to average: large tomatoes 5 shekels/kg, bananas 7 shekels/kg, avocados 13 shekels/kg, dry onions 4 shekels/kg, diesel 7.65 shekels/liter, and gasoline "95" 8.05 shekels/liter.
