Martyrs in Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon and Shelling towards Israeli Forces

SadaNews - The National News Agency reported the death of four martyrs as a result of a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting the town of Zefta in southern Lebanon, coinciding with artillery fire on the city of Nabatiyeh and its surroundings. The region has witnessed a new military escalation that resulted in material damage and a state of security tension in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli Air Force launched a series of airstrikes early on Monday targeting towns in southern Lebanon, coinciding with threats to intensify bombardment on the southern suburbs of Beirut, where explosions were heard in the Lebanese capital.

These developments come amid a rapid escalation on the Lebanese front, following the targeting of the southern suburbs, coinciding with Iranian missile attacks on Israel, which has complicated the regional scene.

In this context, the National News Agency reported that the Israeli air force carried out two strikes on the towns of Sakkiyya and Zefta in the south, while the Israeli army renewed its threats to continue its military operations against Hezbollah and expand their scope.

In contrast, Hezbollah announced the execution of 29 operations targeting Israeli forces and vehicles in southern Lebanon during Sunday, using rockets and drones, as part of its ongoing field responses.

Politically, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the strikes on Beirut were not coordinated with the United States, expressing his dissatisfaction with them and emphasizing: "I am not happy about the Israeli attack on Beirut."
