Abu Ubaida: The bill will remain open, and the occupation will pay it heavily
SadaNews - Abu Ubaida, the spokesman for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said on Tuesday that "the occupation misread the scene and miscalculated, mistaking flexibility for weakness. They do not know that we will not forget and will not forgive; the bill will remain open, and the occupation will pay it heavily."
This was stated in a televised speech in which he mourned Izz al-Din al-Haddad and Muhammad Awda, leaders of the "Qassam" general staff who were martyred in succession within 10 days after taking command of the brigades.
He referred to the path of Al-Haddad and Awda in leading many missions within Al-Qassam. Regarding Al-Haddad, he stated: "The great martyr held many leadership positions, the most prominent of which was his command of the Gaza Brigade and combat weaponry. He also played a central role in planning, preparing, and supervising the crossing on October 7, before leading defensive operations in the northern Gaza sector, during which the occupation suffered heavy losses, culminating in his leadership of the Qassam general staff, succeeding the great leaders Muhammad Deif and Muhammad Sinwar during a very sensitive phase, which he led with wisdom and competency until God favored him with the honor of martyrdom along with his family, joining his martyred sons.".
He added about Awda: "He was close to the great martyr Abu Khalid Deif, and he was one of the first pioneers of military manufacturing for Al-Qassam Brigades and the commander of the northern brigade and the combat services section before moving to lead the military intelligence section, where he played a crucial role in planning and supervising the crossing on October 7. Moreover, our martyr oversaw during the Al-Aqsa Flood the defensive operations in the northern brigade, during which the enemy faced strong blows, and our martyr concluded his journey by leading the general staff, succeeding the great leader Izz al-Din al-Haddad, before he was granted a great martyrdom with his family on the blessed Day of Arafah, joining his eldest son."
Abu Ubaida added: "If our cowardly enemy thinks it can weaken us by assassinating our leaders, then their blood is the fuel that propels our ship to overcome difficulties."
The spokesman for Al-Qassam confirmed that there are leaders who remain within the brigades, having grown up in the fields of combat and preparation, and their experiences have honed them through wars. He stated.
He said that the crimes of assassination and all that Gaza is witnessing from crimes put the mediators in front of a moment of truth, calling on everyone to unify all efforts to curb the occupation and compel it to fulfill its commitments. He stated: "It is no longer acceptable to remain silent and remain neutral."
He praised what the resistance forces are doing in Lebanon and other regions against Israel.
He commended the resilience of the people of Gaza in the face of Israeli crimes.
