Netanyahu: The Israeli Army Crossed the Litani River in Lebanon

SadaNews - On Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the Israeli army forces crossed the Litani River in southern Lebanon.

Netanyahu said during his visit to the northern border of Israel with Lebanon: "I came here with the Israeli Minister of Defense, the Deputy Chief of Staff, the Commander of the Northern Command, the Division Commander, and the leaders you see here, along with the soldiers in the field."

He added: "I spoke with the brigade commanders who are currently inside the area. I am listening to them and also to the soldiers who are some of them here behind me; there is tremendous fighting spirit here. From here, the battle against Hezbollah in the north is being managed."

The Israeli Prime Minister continued: "I must tell you that there are extremely impressive results here. Our forces crossed the Litani River and advanced into the commanding areas (overlooking). We are also operating in Beirut and in the Bekaa along the entire front, delivering devastating blows to Hezbollah."

He confirmed: "When I say this, it is not just passing remarks. The brigade commanders are telling me, as well as the soldiers, that in every engagement and confrontation with them, we are eliminating Hezbollah elements and causing them to flee as well."
