Gold Rises as US-Iran Agreement Anticipated

SadaNews Economy - Gold prices rose slightly today, Friday, as investors monitored reports related to an agreement between the United States and Iran, amid growing concerns about inflation and rising US interest rates.

The price of gold in spot transactions increased by 0.1% to $4523.80 per ounce.

However, the precious metal has declined by about 0.1% since the beginning of the week. US futures contracts for gold rose by 0.1% to $4535.90.

The price of gold fell to its lowest level in two months on Thursday before closing higher after reports of an extension of the ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
