Iraqis Lead in Property Ownership Among Non-Jordanians in Jordan During 2026

SadaNews -  The number of property ownership transactions for non-Jordanian investors during the first quarter of the current year reached 681 properties, a decrease of 10% compared to the same period in 2025, which recorded 754 properties, according to the monthly report issued by the Land and Survey Department.

According to the data, these transactions included 415 apartments, a decrease of 3% compared to the same period in 2025, which recorded 428 apartments, and 266 plots of land, a decrease of 18% compared to the same period in 2025, which recorded 326 plots of land.

The estimated value of property ownership transactions for non-Jordanians during the first quarter of 2026 was about 55.6 million dinars, a decrease of 14% compared to the same period in 2025, which recorded 65 million dinars, of which 34.2 million dinars were for apartments, accounting for 61%, and 21.4 million dinars for land, accounting for 39%.

Nationalities Most Commonly Owning Properties

Iraqi nationality ranked first in non-Jordanian property ownership transactions during the first quarter of this year with a total of 173 properties, followed by Saudi nationality in second place with 107 properties, and Syrian nationality in third place with 66 properties, while Palestinian nationality ranked fourth with 64 properties.

In terms of value, Iraqi nationality also ranked first with an estimated value of 23.9 million dinars, accounting for 43% of the estimated value of non-Jordanian ownership transactions. Palestinian nationality came in second place with a value of 4 million dinars, accounting for 7.3%, American nationality came in third place with a value of 3.9 million dinars, accounting for 7%, with Syrian nationality following closely in fourth place with a value of 3.8 million dinars, accounting for 6.9%, and British nationality in fifth place with a value of 2.9 million dinars, accounting for 5%.
