Amid Intensive Airstrikes.. Israel Expands Ground Operations in Southern Lebanon

SadaNews - On Tuesday, Israeli forces expanded their ground operations in towns of southern Lebanon amidst intense air and artillery bombardment.

According to the Lebanese Al-Manar channel, Israeli forces crossed the Litani River and operated on land in the village of Zawtar al-Sharqiya.

Other Lebanese sources indicated a clear expansion of ground operations in some villages, where Israel has crossed the previously designated yellow line and is now operating north of it.

Israeli military sources later confirmed the news, stating that the objective of the operation is to push Hezbollah's drone launch units deeper into northern Lebanese areas.

This coincided with ongoing airstrikes and heavy artillery shelling that has not stopped for the past several hours, alongside requests for the evacuation of vast areas from residents.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the number of martyrs has risen to 3,213, with 9,737 wounded due to the Israeli war since March 2.
