Netanyahu: My Health is Excellent and Those Who Claimed I Was Ill Will Be Prosecuted

SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the Tel Aviv District Court to attend a hearing regarding the defamation lawsuit he filed against journalists Yuri Misgav and Ben Caspit, as well as attorney Johnin Ben Yitzhak, in which he demands half a million shekels in compensation for "publishing false information" about his health condition.

The newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported today, Thursday, that Netanyahu said at the opening of the session, which was presided over by Judge Menahem Mizrahi, "My health condition is good; some say it is excellent. I have never had pancreatic cancer, as stated in a report in April 2024."

Netanyahu clarified: "If it were true, I wouldn't be here. My condition has improved this year," adding: "I am in very good health," and threatened to take legal action, stating: "Those who claimed I was suffering from a terminal illness are here. We will prosecute everyone, and they will see the facts."

The Israeli Prime Minister announced last April, for the first time, that he was undergoing treatment for a malignant tumor in the prostate, following a previous surgery he had in December 2024 to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Netanyahu included this information in an extensive statement he published on social media, coinciding with the issuance of his annual health assessment report, according to the "Times of Israel".

Aside from the tumor, which Netanyahu confirmed had been successfully treated, the medical assessment indicated that the Israeli Prime Minister (76 years old) is in good health, noting that all blood test results and fitness assessments were normal, according to the newspaper.
