Occupation imposes strict measures on Al-Aqsa coinciding with settlers' incursions

SadaNews - This morning, Thursday, occupation forces imposed strict measures at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and assaulted a number of worshippers who attempted to reach the dawn prayer.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation enforced tight restrictions on worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, aiming to clear it for the incursions of settlers during what is called "compensatory celebration" for the Hebrew anniversary of the occupation of Jerusalem.

It added that the occupation forces prevented men under the age of 60 and women under 50 from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque since the dawn hours, and also assaulted a number of men and women by pushing and hitting them at the mosque's gates.

Furthermore, the occupation police forced worshippers, employees of the Islamic Waqf Department, and students of the religious school to remain inside the covered prayer rooms and buildings, prohibiting their presence in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque to completely vacate it for the intruders.

According to the data, the number of Muslims present inside Al-Aqsa, including Waqf employees and students of the religious school who are taking some final exams, did not exceed 150 individuals, while the number of intruders during the first hour exceeded 200 intruders.
