Raids and Arrests in the West Bank, Settlers Burn Agricultural Lands Near Ramallah

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces launched a wide campaign of raids in various areas of the West Bank early Thursday morning, which included clashes and arrests, in addition to storming and searching dozens of homes and damaging their contents, while subjecting residents to field interrogations and detaining several of them.

In a related context, settlers set fire to agricultural lands in the plains of the village of Al-Mughayer north of Ramallah, causing damage to agricultural property, amid rising assaults in several areas of the West Bank.

The West Bank witnessed a series of incursions carried out by Israeli occupation forces in several governorates, which included raids on citizens' homes and military deployments in various towns and camps, according to what the Prisoners' Club reported.

Occupation forces arrested Muhannad Jibril Al-Zubeidi and his son, 12-year-old Adam, after storming the family home in Jalazone camp and rummaging through its contents.

In Hebron, occupation forces arrested doctors Ghanem Arziqat and Osama Al-Tarda during their raid on the town of Tarqumiyah west of the city, noting that doctor Arziqat is a former prisoner.

In Hebron Governorate, the forces stormed the towns of Tarqumiyah, Idna, and Tuqu', carrying out searches and raids on homes. In Jenin, the raids included the village of Faqou’a and the "Khalat Suha" neighborhood within the city, while continuing in Qalqilya in the town of Izun east of the city.

The incursions also targeted the governorate of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, where the forces entered Jalazone camp, Al-Irsal neighborhood, and the village of Serda, in addition to raids in Nablus governorate that included the town of Beita and the village of Burqa.

In a related context, settlers set fire to agricultural lands in the village of Al-Mughayer northeast of Ramallah, while occupation forces fired tear gas canisters towards Palestinian homes in the area, leading to a rising state of field tension.

Local sources reported that during the citizens' attempt to extinguish the fire raging in the lands located in the eastern plain of the village, Israeli occupation forces stormed the village, firing flares and large quantities of tear gas canisters towards Palestinian homes.

The sources added that this coincided with an attack by settlers in the area. They confirmed that citizens rushed to defend the village in the face of the occupation forces and the settlers.
