Netanyahu Receives Miladinov, Who Sends a Message to "Hamas": Transition to a Political Organization

SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received the High Representative of the Council for Peace, Nikolai Miladinov, on Wednesday evening.

The meeting, the second of its kind in two weeks, focused on the developments in the Gaza Strip.

Miladinov stated in a press conference following the meeting that he met with Netanyahu as part of his consultations with all parties to move forward regarding Gaza.

He added: "Two million people in Gaza are living in difficult conditions and are trying to survive... We are focusing on providing the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip with a better future."

He continued: "There are daily violations of the ceasefire in Gaza, and civilians are still being killed. We do not feel that the war in Gaza has fully ended, and we are working to reduce violations."

He pointed out that the Gaza Administrative Committee is ready to operate in the sector and start rebuilding it.

He stated: "The approved plan is to have one Palestinian government in Gaza and the West Bank after reforming the authority."

He called on the political entity currently ruling Gaza to step aside, referring to Hamas.

The Peace Council representative said: "We are not asking Hamas to disappear politically; they can participate in any elections, but what is required is the dismantling of weapons."

He noted that Trump's plan grants amnesty to all armed groups in order to establish a new political system.

He accused Hamas of tightening its grip on the population, imposing taxes, and trying to consolidate its rule.

He said: "Palestinians are faced with the choice of either continuing to live under these conditions or improving and looking towards a better future."

He continued: "The Gaza problem is extremely difficult and has been the hardest in the region for decades."
