Arrest of an Israeli and 3 Soldiers Spying for Iran

Translation by SadaNews - The Israeli Security Agency "Shabak" revealed on Friday that, in collaboration with the police, it arrested an Israeli and three soldiers on suspicion of spying for Iran.

A joint statement, according to SadaNews translation, clarified that the three soldiers were recruited before they joined the army and they are minors.

It indicated that the four performed security tasks on behalf of Iranian intelligence entities.

Investigations revealed that one of the operatives worked to recruit the other accused individuals, and in this context, they carried out various photographic tasks across Israel and were even asked to purchase weapons.

Among their tasks, the accused documented and transmitted to their operatives photos and videos of various locations, including train stations, shopping centers, surveillance cameras, as well as recordings of the technical school of the Air Force where some of the suspects studied.

Additionally, some of the accused proactively contacted their operator to perform security tasks, and some participated in vandalizing property as part of the relationship.

The statement noted that serious charges have been filed against them in the Haifa District Attorney's Office.
