Protests in New York Against Colonial Conference Featuring Sales of Properties and Lands in the West Bank
SadaNews - Wide protests were organized in New York City in rejection of a conference organized by companies linked to the settlements, which included presentations for the sale of properties and lands in the West Bank.
Media sources reported that the demonstrators emphasized that holding such events within the United States represents an attempt to market colonialism and profit from seized Palestinian lands, noting that the lands on offer fall within areas that international law considers to be occupied territories.
Participants raised Palestinian flags and chanted slogans condemning the conference, calling for an end to any activities that promote or financially support colonialism.
It was noted that the protesters, who are activists and organizations supportive of Palestinian rights, expressed their rejection of the conference, considering that it attempts to legitimize colonial expansion despite repeated international condemnations of it.
