Similar to Gaza.. Israel Establishes a New Yellow Line in Lebanon
SadaNews Translation - Israeli Army Radio correspondent Doron Kedosh reported on Saturday that the statement published by the army regarding the targeting of individuals who violated the ceasefire in Lebanon and posed a threat to its forces amounts to an announcement of the establishment of a new yellow line in the southern part of the country, similar to the one existing in Gaza.
Kedosh noted in a tweet on his Telegram page that anyone approaching this line would be targeted, while the Israeli army would continue to demolish buildings and infrastructure in these areas, according to SadaNews translation.
He emphasized that the Israeli army would not carry out any military activities outside this military area, whether in most areas south of the Litani River, Beirut, or the Beqaa Valley.
He considered that this would restrict the operational freedom of the Israeli army in Lebanon more than the agreement reached in November 2024, during which it continued its attacks daily, resulting in the death of 450 members of Hezbollah within a year and three months..
He pointed out that prior to the recent agreement, the Israeli army command had presented two essential conditions to the political level for the ceasefire: the first was to remain in the buffer zone and to maintain freedom of military operations, which was achieved, while the second remains in doubt.
He viewed this situation as allowing Hezbollah to continue to enhance its capabilities and solidify its presence in areas only a few kilometers away from the border, north of the yellow line.
