Netanyahu After Conversation with Vance: The Central Issue is Removing Enriched Uranium and the US Side Sparked the Negotiations

SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated during the cabinet session today, Monday, and following his conversation with U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance, who heads the U.S. negotiating delegation with Iran in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, that "the central issue is the removal of all enriched materials and ensuring that there is no enrichment anymore."

He added, "We support President (Donald) Trump's firm position on imposing a naval blockade on Iran, and we are in constant coordination with the United States."

Netanyahu spoke about his conversation with Vance, saying, "He called me from his plane while returning from Islamabad and detailed the developments of the negotiations and their explosion that came from the U.S. side after they could no longer bear the blatant violation of the agreement to enter the negotiations by Iran. The agreement was supposed to include a ceasefire, and the Iranians were to open the Strait of Hormuz immediately, but they did not do that, and the Americans could not accept this matter."

He continued, "He clarified to me that the central issue for President Trump and the United States is the removal of enriched materials and ensuring that there is no enrichment in the coming years, which could be for decades, meaning there should be no enrichment within Iran. This is their main concern, and it is of course also important to us."

Netanyahu pointed out that "since Iran has violated the rules, President Trump decided to impose a naval blockade on it. We, of course, support this firm position and are in constant coordination with the United States. The talk about a rift between us is completely contrary to the truth, as we have coordination with the strongest power in the world, and we have the ability to repel extermination threats."

Regarding the northern front, he said, "Yesterday I was in (Southern) Lebanon at the border fence with our forces. We are not talking about five points there, but about a strong and deeper security strip that prevents infiltration risks and also distances the threat of anti-tank missiles."

Netanyahu added, "There is also a threat from rocket shells, and this is also being addressed. There are important innovations, but there is still work to be done. Fighting continues without stopping, and it has been ongoing all the time. Yesterday and today, the fighting focused in Bint Jbeil."
