Zelensky: Ukrainian Forces Shot Down Iranian 'Shahed' Drones During Middle East War
SadaNews - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian forces shot down Iranian 'Shahed' drones during the Iran war in several Middle Eastern countries, describing these operations as part of a broader effort to assist partners in confronting the same weapons that Russia is using in Ukraine, according to the Associated Press.
Zelensky made his first public statement regarding these operations on Wednesday, in remarks to reporters that were not allowed to be published until Friday.
Zelensky explained that Ukrainian forces participated in active military operations abroad using homemade unmanned aerial vehicles that underwent field testing.
