Ambassador Abu Al-Izz Starts His Duties in Australia with a Meeting with the Australian Arab Council

SadaNews - The new Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Australia, Dr. Amjad Abu Al-Izz, held an official meeting today, Wednesday, at the embassy in the capital, Canberra, with the First Counselor, Nora Saleh, and the CEO of the Australian Arab Council, Mr. Hassan Moussa, and his deputy, Mr. Akram Mardini.

The meeting began with the Arab delegation welcoming the Palestinian ambassador, expressing their appreciation for the promptness in holding the meeting on his first day in office, reflecting his commitment to enhancing communication with the components of the Arab community.

Both sides confirmed the importance of developing mechanisms for cooperation and communication with the Arab communities in Australia, which contribute to serving the Palestinian community and strengthening their presence and role in Australian society.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance joint coordination between the embassy and the Australian Arab Council, in addition to discussing several issues and activities of mutual interest, aiming to achieve the interests of the community members and strengthen organized institutional work.

Participants, including council representatives, stressed the importance of continuing dialogue and consultation in the upcoming phase, which supports the achievement of common goals and enhances bilateral relations.

At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed to continue joint Arab work and organize future events and activities aimed at reinforcing cooperation and communication between the embassy and the Arab community in Australia.
