The Strike Spreads Across the West Bank in Rejection of the Occupation's "Execution Law for Prisoners"
SadaNews - A comprehensive strike took place today, Wednesday, across the governorates of the West Bank in response to a call from the "Fatah" movement and national and Islamic forces, rejecting the Israeli Knesset's approval of the "Law on the Execution of Prisoners."
The "Fatah" movement called on Palestinians to engage in a general and comprehensive strike, to initiate a widespread Palestinian movement, and to enhance Arab and international efforts to pressure for the repeal of this law and to hold the occupation accountable for its ongoing crimes against our people.
The movement stated: This criminal law will not break our people's will or the determination of our prisoners; rather, it increases our resolve to continue the struggle for their freedom and their legitimate rights.
The Knesset's General Assembly approved the law concerning the execution of Palestinian prisoners on Monday in its second and third readings, with 62 members voting in favor, 48 against, and one member abstaining from voting.
