Lebanon: The Death Toll Rises to 1247 and Israeli Shelling on Bekaa
SadaNews - The death toll from the Israeli war on Lebanon has risen to 1247 martyrs and 3680 injured since it began on March 2. The Israeli army has conducted airstrikes in the Bekaa after warning residents of several towns to evacuate in preparation for an attack, while its forces continue to advance in southern Lebanon amid battles and clashes with Hezbollah fighters.
The Israeli army announced it attacked more than 100 towers in the Lebanese capital Beirut, claiming they were used by Hezbollah. It also stated that it killed "prominent leaders of the unit responsible for coordination between Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon, Gaza, Syria, Judea, and Samaria (the occupied West Bank)."
Hezbollah has carried out attacks with missiles and drones targeting gatherings of the Israeli army and various locations, towns, and areas, including Haifa, "Kiryat," Acre, and Tiberias. Israeli reports mentioned the launch of two shells towards Tiberias and their fall in open areas without triggering sirens.
Conversely, the Israeli army announced the death of a soldier during battles that took place in southern Lebanon, and a serious injury to an officer in the armored corps, who was transferred to the hospital for treatment. Earlier, the army reported that 6 of its soldiers were injured in separate incidents in southern Lebanon, including 3 whose conditions were described as serious; two soldiers were seriously injured due to an anti-tank missile launch, while a third soldier sustained serious injuries and two others moderate injuries in a drone attack. Additionally, a soldier was moderately injured in what was described as an "operational incident," indicating that the injured were transferred to the hospital and their families were notified.
