The Palestinian Presidency: The statement issued by certain individuals does not represent the official or popular stance on the ongoing war

SadaNews - The Palestinian presidency confirmed that the statement issued in the name of a group of individuals regarding the ongoing war in the region only represents those individuals, and does not reflect the official or popular stance of the State of Palestine in any way.

The presidency affirmed that the Palestinian position is that which was issued by it on 28/2/2026 against the aggression faced by the Arab brotherly countries from Iran, and also regarding the aggression faced by Lebanon from Israel.

For its part, the security institution clarified that the arrest of Omar Asaf came in connection with his leadership in issuing a statement regarding the war on Iran, signed by a group of figures under unofficial titles, which included insults and jibes at brotherly Arab states, emphasizing its rejection of this approach as it constitutes an unacceptable surpass that does not represent the responsible Palestinian national position.

In a statement issued by the official spokesperson for the Palestinian security forces, Anwar Rjab, it affirmed that insulting the Arab depth causes direct harm to the Palestinian cause, and affects the interests of thousands of our people residing, working, and studying in those countries, who form a bridge for brotherly and historical relations with them.

It stressed the need to bear national responsibility in discourse and position, and to stand by the interests of our people, rejecting their involvement in conflicts that do not serve their cause, affirming that its compass will remain focused on protecting the interests of our people and enhancing relations with our Arab brothers, in a manner that supports achieving our people's aspirations for freedom and independence.
