According to the event details reported by Channel 12 in Hebrew, and translated by SadaNews, it occurred around 3 PM, when a tank unit from Battalion 77 fell into an anti-tank missile ambush north of the Litani River by Hezbollah elements.

According to the initial investigation conducted at the scene, the first anti-tank missile was intercepted by the "Windbreaker" system, and a second missile was fired shortly after, hitting the soldiers, resulting in one death, one serious injury, another moderate injury, and two others with minor injuries.
