President Abbas Receives the Local Elections Follow-up Committee

SadaNews - President Mahmoud Abbas received the Local Elections Follow-up Committee at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah this evening, Thursday.

President Abbas listened to detailed reports about the committee's work and the preparations underway to hold the local elections on the scheduled date of April 25, 2026.

The president emphasized the importance of conducting these elections for the Palestinian citizen and providing the best possible services to enhance their steadfastness on their homeland.

He directed that the atmosphere be prepared to ensure the success of these elections with full transparency, in accordance with the applicable laws, to strengthen the democratic approach being followed.

The president also instructed state institutions to provide the necessary facilities to ensure the success of these elections.
