Katz: We blew up 5 bridges over the Litani River
SadaNews: Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the Israeli army has blown up 5 bridges over the Litani River in southern Lebanon, confirming that this step is part of a security strategy aimed at preventing the return of displaced residents to their areas located south of the river.
Katz clarified that Israel will not allow the return of these residents before ensuring the security of northern Israel's inhabitants, indicating that control will encompass the remaining bridges and the security zone extending to the Litani River.
This announcement reflects a new escalation in the Israeli stance towards southern Lebanon.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that this morning about 20 rockets were detected being launched towards Akko, Haifa, and its bay from Lebanon.
