Hani Shakir's Family Considers Transferring Him to Paris for Treatment Due to Serious Condition

SadaNews - Egyptian singer Hani Shakir is still lying in the intensive care unit of a private hospital in the Giza area, after undergoing a serious surgery to remove a part of his colon.

A source close to the famous artist revealed in exclusive statements that his wife and son spoke with the medical team treating him, suggesting that he be transferred to the French capital Paris to continue his treatment.

The source added that the reason for Hani Shakir's family's request for his transfer is that his condition has not seen significant improvement since he entered the ICU two weeks ago, as he remains unconscious despite his body responding with simple reactions to medical stimuli.

The source continued that Shakir's wife and son are still awaiting the decision of the medical team treating him, confirming to them that his condition allows for his transfer from the hospital and travel to Paris. He added that if this happens, there will be many arrangements, including using a medically equipped plane, in addition to communicating with one of the major hospitals in Paris and sending his medical reports to assess the possibility of treating him there.

A close source to Shakir had previously revealed to "Al Arabiya.net" that the last few days have been the "most difficult" in his battle with illness, as his condition showed a lack of response to treatment and complete loss of consciousness, which raised concerns among the medical team treating him.

However, the source carried "slight good news" for his fans, confirming that the past period saw a gradual improvement, as the artist's body began to respond to treatment and showed simple motor reactions in his hand and foot, which doctors considered a positive sign of regaining part of his consciousness, despite him remaining in the intensive care unit until his condition stabilizes completely.

By strict orders from the medical team, a state of isolation has been imposed on Shakir's room to prevent infection and ensure complete calm, as visits are restricted to only his wife and son for only a few specific minutes throughout the day, with the entry of anyone else, regardless of their relationship or fame, being prohibited.
