Casualties and Damage in the Largest Rocket Attack from Lebanon on Israel
SadaNews - Several people were injured and some homes were damaged in the successive rocket barrages on several settlements and cities in northern Israel.
Channel 13 reported, according to SadaNews translation, that 100 rockets were launched in the recent attack from Lebanon.
The Kan News Channel stated that Hezbollah launched the heaviest rocket strike since October 7, 2023.
It added, according to SadaNews translation, "In Israel, they are preparing for the continued escalation of fire from Hezbollah and strikes throughout the night from Iran and Lebanon."
Channel 12 reported that cabinet ministers received a last-minute update regarding security agencies' estimates that the firing is expected to continue intensively tonight, especially from Hezbollah but also from Iran.
An Israeli official told Channel 12, "The next 24 hours are very critical regarding the continuation of the battle, which will shape events in Lebanon... Hezbollah is digging its own grave."
Meanwhile, Hezbollah has named its new operation "The Consumed Storm," targeting several areas in northern Israel.
Additionally, Kan News confirmed, according to SadaNews translation, that Israel is conducting indirect dialogue with the Lebanese government, demanding the Lebanese army to immediately work against Hezbollah, according to a senior Israeli official.
The same official added, "In light of the behind-the-scenes dialogue, there is also a threat to damage Lebanon's national infrastructure, unlike what occurred in Operation Northern Shield."
