Gulf Defenses Neutralize 3,133 Iranian Missiles and Drones

SadaNews - As the war between Iran on one side and the United States and Israel transitions from temporary military escalation to a war of attrition on its twelfth day, Gulf air defenses have intercepted more than 3,133 Iranian missiles and drones targeting civilian and vital facilities across the Gulf.

According to statistics, the Saudi Royal Air Defense has intercepted approximately 25 missiles and 151 drones since the war began, while in the UAE, 270 missiles and 1,475 drones were intercepted. Kuwait reported intercepting 239 missiles and 456 drones, Qatar intercepted air defenses 143 missiles and 78 drones, Bahrain 106 missiles and 177 drones, and finally Oman intercepted 13 drones.

Saudi Arabia:

In Saudi Arabia, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, announced on Wednesday that six ballistic missiles targeting Prince Sultan Air Base in Al-Kharj (80 kilometers southeast of Riyadh) and one towards the Eastern Province had been intercepted and destroyed.

Al-Maliki revealed that eight drones were intercepted and destroyed in the Eastern Province, seven in the "Empty Quarter" heading towards the "Shaybah" oil field (southeast of the country), five east of Al-Kharj, and two drones in Hafr Al-Batin (northeast of the Kingdom).

Oman:

A security source in Oman reported the downing of several drones, while others hit fuel tanks at Salalah Port, with no human casualties recorded.

The authorities confirmed that the competent agencies are making every effort to monitor and respond to these blatant attacks, in order to maintain the security of the homeland, citizens, and residents.

The source also reported the downing of one drone and the crash of another into the sea north of Duqm, with no human or material losses recorded. The Sultanate expressed its condemnation of ongoing targeting operations and stated that it was taking all necessary measures to maintain the security of the country and the safety of its inhabitants.

UAE:

For its part, the UAE Ministry of Defense announced that its air defenses intercepted missiles and drones coming from Iran, noting that the sounds heard in various regions of the state were the result of intercepting both ballistic missile defense systems and fighter jets targeting drones.

In Dubai, the media office announced the downing of two drones in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport, resulting in injuries to four individuals of different nationalities. The office clarified in a statement that two Ghanaians and one Bangladeshi suffered minor injuries, while one Indian national sustained a moderate injury. The relevant authorities confirmed that air traffic continued normally.

Bahrain:

In Bahrain, authorities reported hearing the sound of four explosions in different areas of the country. The Bahrain Ministry of Interior launched sirens and urged citizens to remain calm and move to safe places following the explosions, in a statement on the "X" platform.

The Bahrain Civil Aviation Authority reported that it successfully coordinated the transfer of several aircraft from Bahrain International Airport to alternative airports.

Qatar:

The Qatari Ministry of Defense announced via the "X" platform that the armed forces repelled a missile attack, while the Ministry of Interior announced the elimination of the security threat and the return of conditions to normal. Authorities urged everyone to adhere to instructions from competent authorities after warning in a previous statement that the level of security threat was high and urged everyone to remain at home and avoid going outside and staying away from windows and open areas for public safety.

The Qatar Chamber confirmed that the local stock of goods and products in the markets is secure and has not been affected by current conditions. This came during a meeting held by the Trade and Research Committee of the Qatar Chamber via videoconferencing, where they reviewed the main challenges that could face the trade sector under current conditions, particularly related to supply chains, storage, prices, and costs, as well as discussing these challenges and ways to find suitable solutions.

Kuwait:

The National Guard in Kuwait announced the downing of eight drones in areas of responsibility secured by the task force. Brigadier Jadaan Fadel, the official spokesperson for the National Guard, stated that this action is part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and protect vital sites and combat any potential threats.

He confirmed that the National Guard, in collaboration with the army, police, and public fire service, is on high alert and ready to deal firmly with any threats and counter anything aimed at destabilizing Kuwait's security while ensuring sovereignty, security, and stability, protecting national interests and resources.

For its part, Jazeera Airways in Kuwait announced the operation of flights from Qaisumah in Saudi Arabia to Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, and India.

Maritime Incident West of Ras Al Khaimah

The British Maritime Trade Operations Agency reported on Wednesday that it received a report of an incident 25 nautical miles northwest of Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE, adding that the captain of a container ship reported damage to the ship due to what is suspected to be an unidentified projectile, and the extent of the damage is currently unknown, but an investigation is underway and all crew members are safe.
