Israeli Occupation Army Transfers "Elite Brigade" to the Northern Front
SadaNews - On Friday, the Israeli army announced that Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir ordered the reinforcement of the northern command sector and the transfer of the Golani combat brigade from the southern command to the northern front.
The occupation army explained in a statement that the decision came after a situation assessment conducted by the Chief of Staff along with several military leaders, in light of the developments related to Operation "Lion's Roar."
The statement indicated that, based on the assessment of the field situation, additional decisions may be made to reinforce forces in the area.
The Israeli army confirmed that it will continue to act "firmly" against Hezbollah, stressing that it will not allow any harm to come to Israeli citizens.
Soldiers of this brigade are viewed as the elite of the army, as some of its units, particularly "Egoz," undergo rigorous training and strict testing related to ambush planning, reconnaissance strategies, and camouflage, requiring high physical and combat capabilities.
