Iraqji: Iranian Attacks Continue and No Talks with Washington

SadaNews - On Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that his country is prepared to continue missile attacks "as long as necessary", dismissing any talks following U.S. President Donald Trump's assertion that the war with Iran would end "soon".

Araqchi told American PBS News, "We are ready to continue missile strikes against them as long as necessary and whenever necessary," noting that negotiations with the United States are "no longer on the table" for Tehran, explaining that the war could extend to encompass the entire region due to what he described as U.S. aggression.

He added that Iran's previous negotiations with the Americans had been bitter, stressing that the United States and Israel had failed in their original plan to change the regime quickly, and that their current attempts would not succeed.

The Iranian foreign minister emphasized that Iranian attacks have not targeted civilians or any civilian sites, in contrast to what he described as deliberate American attacks on schools and infrastructure, aiming to highlight what Tehran sees as the illegitimacy of Western strikes.

Araqchi described Trump's statements accusing Iran of attacking a girls' school as "ridiculous," stressing that Iran acts according to its military rules and that civilians are not its targets.

He added that the war could extend to encompass the entire region due to U.S. aggression, asserting that his country is not responsible for these repercussions.

He also pointed out that Iran had previously warned countries in the region that any U.S. attack would be met with a direct response targeting U.S. bases and facilities in the Middle East.
