Haaretz: Israel Prepares to Establish a Defensive Barrier in Southern Lebanon
SadaNews: The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz reported that the Israeli army is preparing for the possibility of conducting an operation on the Lebanese side of the border, aiming to establish a forward defense line separating Hezbollah from the settlements near the fence.
Israeli security sources stated that entering into a large-scale conflict against Hezbollah, alongside an operation against targets in Iran, could have significant implications on operational focus, on the deployment of air defense systems in the home front, and on resource allocation in the fields of intelligence and communications.
The Israeli army is also preparing for a wave of extensive attacks against targets in Lebanon, in addition to establishing a strong defense line along the border, at least until a political decision is made regarding the scope of the response.
Meanwhile, the Israeli "Alma" Institute stated that Hezbollah's launch capability has declined to dozens of rockets per day. The real challenge for the Israeli army now lies in facing 3,000 fighters from "Al-Ridwan" waiting behind the border.
