Trump Does Not Rule Out Military Force: I'm Not Satisfied with Iran and Haven't Made a Decision Yet

SadaNews - US President Donald Trump said on Friday evening that he is not satisfied with Iran, while also indicating that he has not yet made a decision regarding the country. This statement comes a day after the third round of negotiations between the two in Geneva, amidst ongoing tensions between the two nations and in the region.

He mentioned that more talks are expected today, seemingly referring to the arrival of the Foreign Minister of Oman in Washington, clarifying that he wants to reach a deal and that Tehran cannot possess nuclear weapons.

Trump stated, "We will hold additional talks today, but I am not happy. It would be nice if the Iranians negotiated in good faith, but so far, they have not done so."

He considered it "wise for Iran to reach an agreement."

The United States has deployed two aircraft carriers, one of which is the "Gerald Ford," the largest in the world, expected to arrive off the Israeli coast after departing Thursday from a military base in the Greek island of Crete.

On Friday, many countries evacuated their diplomats from Iran and Israel, and advised their citizens to leave and avoid traveling to these countries.

These developments follow a day after the third round of talks between Iran and the United States, mediated by Oman in Geneva, considered the last attempt to avoid war, despite diminishing optimism that prevailed on Thursday after Tehran urged Washington on Friday to "avoid any reckless steps and exaggerated demands" in negotiations.

Iran has threatened to attack US bases in the region if attacked, which could also lead to Israeli involvement. The two countries fought a war that lasted 12 days in June 2025.
