Iraqi 'Hezbollah Brigades' Warn of American Threats Against Iran
SadaNews - The Iraqi 'Hezbollah Brigades' warned of the escalating American threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran amid increasing tensions in the region.
The security official in the brigades, Abu Ali al-Askari, stated in a post published on the "Telegram" platform that "the recent regional developments coincide with the threats of U.S. President Donald Trump to Tehran, through mobilizing naval forces and preparing military bases in the region, in preparation for a new aggression against the Iranian people and its capabilities."
Al-Askari added that "the American preparations are directed towards targeting Iran, starting from Syrian territory, passing through the Kurdistan region of Iraq, in a path that may take on a ground character."
He urged the Kurdish forces in the region to "act rationally and not engage in any military movement targeting Iran," warning of the repercussions of what he called a "military adventure."
The security official in the Iraqi 'Hezbollah Brigades' also stressed the "necessity for Iranian security and military apparatuses to be in a state of full alert to confront any potential movements targeting Iranian territory, especially on the northwestern borders."
Military buildup in the Middle East is rising, as the United States has strengthened its naval and air presence in the region by deploying the aircraft carrier "Abraham Lincoln" near the Gulf and sending a second carrier, the "Gerald Ford," on its way to position near the Mediterranean, in addition to enhancing squadrons of fighter jets and long-range bombers and placing them on high alert in anticipation of possible strikes targeting nuclear facilities, IRGC headquarters, and ballistic missile platforms.
