Match Stopped in Dutch League for Muslim Player to Break His Fast

SadaNews - A viral video showcased the moment Dutch player of Moroccan descent Ayoub Oufkir broke his fast during his team AZ Alkmaar's match against Sparta Rotterdam in the Dutch football league.

Play was stopped in the 70th minute, as the young player approached the touchline to break his fast by drinking water and consuming a type of nutritional supplement before continuing with the match.

It is noteworthy that Oufkir came on as a substitute at the beginning of the second half in a match that ended with Alkmaar winning 3-1, with all goals scored after the 65th minute of the game.

Oufkir (20 years old) recently joined AZ Alkmaar from Sparta Rotterdam, where he played during the last season.
