Sheikh Holds a Security Meeting with the Prime Minister and Senior Officials to Discuss Political and Security Developments

SadaNews - The Deputy Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, Hussein Al-Sheikh, held an extensive security meeting with leaders of security agencies, attended by Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, and the assistant to the supreme leader of the security forces, Major General Ismail Jaber. The meeting included a comprehensive review of political, security, and social developments in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in light of regional and international developments, particularly regarding the implementation of the U.S. President's peace plan and the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2803, and their potential implications on the Palestinian reality in all its dimensions. The participants also discussed the repercussions of the current phase and ways to enhance national readiness, consolidate the rule of law, preserve the dignity of citizens, and promote civil peace. Al-Sheikh briefed the attendees on the most significant political and economic challenges and the efforts being made to strengthen the Palestinian position politically and diplomatically, emphasizing the importance of the integration of roles between the political leadership and the security and judicial institutions, ensuring the protection of the national project and enhancing the resilience of our people. The meeting also discussed mechanisms for opening a coordination office between the Palestinian National Authority and the Gaza Strip Administration Committee, contributing to the unification of administrative and political references and enhancing performance integration, as well as strengthening political and legal links between the West Bank and Gaza Strip, serving the higher national interest. At the conclusion of the meeting, Al-Sheikh stressed the necessity of maintaining the highest levels of readiness and discipline, and enhancing citizen trust in official institutions, asserting that security and stability are fundamental pillars in protecting the rights of our people and their national constants.
