Gaza Management Committee Releases New Logo and Announces Reception of Job Applications for its Police Force

Following SadaNews - The National Committee for the Management of the Gaza Strip announced on Thursday a new logo in light of previous Israeli criticisms.

The logo did not change much, relying on a colored eagle featuring the Palestinian flag, which derives from the logo of the Palestinian Authority, a fact that once again sparked Israeli criticism at the media level from Israeli journalists, with no official comment issued by Netanyahu's government.

The committee announced the commencement of receiving applications from qualified candidates to join the transitional police force, which will be professional, accountable, and operate transparently. This was stated in their announcement text in English on the X platform, according to SadaNews follow-up.

The committee indicated that it seeks to establish a transitional police force, clarifying that the recruitment process is open to any qualified candidate wishing to serve in the police apparatus.

It stated: "With the ceasefire in effect and the committee's readiness to assume its responsibilities in Gaza, the time has come to provide opportunities to those ready to take responsibility and support the rule of law.

It reaffirmed that the next phase requires enhancing police institutions, solidifying professionalism, and ensuring public trust, expressing appreciation for the efforts of police officers who served the people of Gaza during the war.

It continued: "The committee seeks to recruit Palestinian men and women who possess high competence and are committed to maintaining public security, supporting order and stability, enhancing the rule of law, and protecting the community with a spirit of discipline and responsibility, who consider this service a national duty and an effective contribution to rebuilding trust, security, and hope within our community.

It added: "This service will be built on solid foundations of accountability, transparency, and respect for the law, and the personnel will operate under clear standards of conduct, under continuous supervision and accountability, guided by the principle that public trust is earned through integrity, justice, and responsibility towards our people.

It noted that it has published the membership requirements on its official website.

These requirements included, according to SadaNews follow-up, that the applicant must be a resident of Gaza aged 18-35, have no criminal record, and possess good physical fitness.

It also included a section highlighting the reasons for encouraging joining the new force, specifying the following objectives: serving your community and contributing to a safe Gaza, professional training and career development, competitive compensation and benefits, being part of building a new future for Gaza, according to the text written on its official website.
