Zamir: We Will Continue to Operate at a High Offensive Operational Pace in 2026

SadaNews - Israeli Army Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, stated that the army will continue to operate "at a high offensive operational pace" in 2026.

This came during a meeting held by Zamir yesterday, Sunday, with "reserve brigade leaders, with the participation of Deputy Chief of Staff Tamir Yadai, Ground Forces Commander Nidal Lotan, Head of Personnel Affairs Dado Bar Kalifa, and several other leaders," according to a statement issued by the Israeli army on Monday evening.

Zamir noted that "the war has shown us all how important the reserve brigades are, and the leaders of the reserve battalions and the commanders within them, as an integral part of the operational strength of the Israeli army, and it is our responsibility to... enhance the professional foundations and return to training while continuing the ongoing operational activities that are increasing."

He asserted that the army has achieved "operational successes on all fronts," adding that "we must restore the Israeli army to its full capabilities."

Zamir added that "at the core of the 'Hoshon' plan (a multi-year plan for building and operating the Israeli army, led by Zamir, which begins in April 2026); we are working on strengthening the combat ground forces, and we will enhance our offensive capabilities, operational movement, robotic capabilities, and the efficiency of reserve brigade leaders."

He continued: "We are engaged in a multi-front battle, and work will continue in 2026, at a high offensive operational pace, to continue weakening the threats and defeating our enemies along the front lines," he said.

He added: "I have issued orders to close all forces that were formed during the war," adding that "we must work systematically and professionally, and the units and forces requiring operations will be organized and integrated in an orderly manner."
