Rajab: An Investigation Has Been Launched into the Circumstances of the "Tubas Incident" That Led to the Death of a Child and Injury of His Sister
SadaNews - The official spokesperson for the Palestinian security forces, Major General Anwar Rajab, stated that the security institution is following with great interest what occurred today during a security force operation in the Tubas Governorate, aimed at apprehending one of the individuals wanted by the law based on a judicial warrant. This operation resulted – according to initial information – in the death of the wanted individual’s son and the injury of his daughter, who has been transferred to the hospital for necessary treatment.
In his statement, he expressed, "While the security institution deeply regrets the occurrence of casualties during the mission, it confirms that the circumstances of the incident are still under accurate and thorough follow-up."
He emphasized that a comprehensive and immediate investigation has been opened in accordance with the applicable legal procedures, under the supervision of the relevant authorities, to clarify all details and determine responsibilities with complete transparency and clarity. The results of the investigation will be announced upon its completion.
He stated that the security institution reaffirms its full commitment to upholding the law, protecting citizens, ensuring their security and safety, and dealing with any violations – if proven – in accordance with the law and without leniency.
