American Military Review in the Arabian Sea After Muscat Talks: "Peace Through Strength"
SadaNews - The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln sailed on Friday in the Arabian Sea, accompanied by two military supply ships and two vessels belonging to the U.S. Coast Guard.
The Central Command added in a statement on the "X" platform that this occurred concurrently with the flight of aircraft from the carrier's air wing.
It noted that "the joint sailing took place as part of an operational readiness demonstration," adding at the end of the post: "Peace through strength. "
Admiral Brad Cooper, the commander of the U.S. Central Command, participated in the U.S.-Iran negotiations hosted by Muscat on Friday, mediated by the Sultanate of Oman.
