Casualties in Blast Targeting Mosque in Islamabad
SadaNews - The Pakistani police stated that an explosion targeted a Shia mosque in the capital, Islamabad, today (Friday), resulting in the death of several worshippers.
According to local authorities, the death toll has exceeded 30, while the number of injured from the mosque explosion in Islamabad has risen to more than 160.
Zafar Iqbal, a police official, said the explosion occurred during Friday prayers. He added: "We have transported several individuals to hospitals. I cannot specify the number of fatalities at this moment, but yes, there are casualties."
A police spokesperson mentioned that the nature of the explosion is not yet clear.
